Selling a Comic Collection in Eastern NC: Every Era, Graded or Raw — With One Honest Note About the 1990s

We buy comic books in every form they come: a single key issue in a slab, a short box from a closet, or an entire room of long boxes accumulated over forty years. Golden Age through modern, Marvel, DC, and independents, graded and ungraded alike — CGC and CBCS slabs come right along with the raw books, at any grade.

Entire Collections Are Our Specialty

Single books are always welcome — but whole collections are where our no-cherry-picking promise does its real work. We go through everything, keys and commons together, and make one fair offer for the entire collection. You don't get left holding twelve boxes of "the rest." Everything goes, one trip, payment in hand the same day.

The Honest Note: The 1990s

Just like sports cards had their overproduction era, comics had one too — and it was the 1990s. Print runs exploded during the speculation boom: foil covers, holograms, polybagged first issues, five variant covers of the same book, all marketed as instant collectibles. Everyone bought multiples and saved them carefully — which is exactly the problem. Most 1990s comics carry very little individual value today, because the supply is enormous and everyone's copy survived in perfect condition.

But don't sort them out — and don't toss them. There are real exceptions scattered through the decade: key first appearances, certain early independent books, and issues that mattered for reasons nobody predicted at the time. That's precisely why the rule stays the same: bring everything and let us go through it. The '90s boxes come along with the rest, and the whole collection gets one offer.

What Moves the Needle on Any Comic

The fundamentals hold across every era: key issues (first appearances, origins, deaths) carry a premium over the issues around them; age favors Golden and Silver Age books; and condition matters enormously — spine ticks, browning, tears, and water damage all factor in, which is why the beat-up book and the crisp one get valued differently even when they're the same issue. Graded books from CGC and CBCS carry their grade with them; raw books we evaluate right in front of you.
